I have been sneaking this cheap cardboard boxtop/mask into a lot of pictures lately. Not sure why, maybe because the box that it covered came filled with something I can’t remember. Not unlike my own head. I do like the dead asterisk stare of the original much better than the silly lens gag. It’s likely that I have already misappropriated the expression for my own mindless speculations.
